Chúng tôi xin trân trọng chào đón và bày tỏ sự ngưỡng mộ đối với những đóng góp của ông trong cuộc đấu tranh giành tự do, dân chủ và nhân quyền tại Việt Nam.
Như ông có thể biết, vụ án của ông Lê Minh Hữu Tuấn đã thu hút sự quan tâm của nhiều tổ chức quốc tế. Năm 2021, ông Lê Minh Hữu Tuấn đã bị kết án 11 năm tù giam với tội danh “tuyên truyền chống phá chính quyền”. Tất cả những gì ông làm là bày tỏ quyền tự do ngôn luận và khát vọng về một nước Việt Nam công lý, tự do và tiến bộ.
Là một nhà báo, ông Lê Minh Hữu Tuấn chỉ muốn tất cả các nhà báo ở Việt Nam được tự do viết lách, được tự do ngôn luận, ủng hộ một xã hội dân chủ và giúp đất nước tiếp tục tiến bộ. Tuy nhiên, chính quyền Việt Nam coi đó là một ‘tội ác’ và việc bắt giữ ông đã gây ra sự phẫn nộ rộng rãi.
Chúng tôi tin rằng với vị thế và tầm ảnh hưởng của mình, ông có thể tác động đến cộng đồng quốc tế và các tổ chức nhân quyền như Tổ chức Theo dõi Nhân quyền (HRW) để họ quan tâm hơn đến trường hợp của ông Tuấn. Tuyên bố ủng hộ của ông có thể giúp tăng áp lực quốc tế yêu cầu chính quyền Việt Nam trả tự do ngay lập tức cho ông Tuấn và các tù nhân lương tâm khác.
Chúng tôi hy vọng rằng ông sẽ tiếp tục sử dụng tiếng nói của mình để ủng hộ những nỗ lực đòi công lý cho ông Tuấn. Sự ủng hộ của ông không chỉ mang lại hy vọng cho gia đình ông Tuấn mà còn là động lực to lớn cho bất kỳ ai đang đấu tranh cho một nước Việt Nam tự do và dân chủ.

Dear the United Kingdom Department for Foreign Affairs.
May we respectfully greet you and express our admiration for your contribution in the struggle for freedom, democracy, and human rights in Vietnam.
As you may be aware, the case of Mr Tuan Minh Huu Le has attracted interest from many international organisations. In 2021, Mr Tuan was sentenced to 11 years imprisonment on charge of “propagandising to resist and destruct the government”. All he did was to express his rights to freedom of speech and aspiration for a Vietnam of justice, freedom, andadvancement.
As a journalist, Mr Tuan Minh Huu Le only wants freedom for all journalists in Vietnam to write freely, to have freedom of speech, to support a democratic society and to help the country continue its progress. However, the Vietnamese authority views that as a ‘crime’, and his arrest has caused a widespread anger.
We believe that with your standing and influence, you would be able to influence the international community and human rights organisations such as Human Rights Watch (HRW) so they would pay more attention to the case of Mr Tuan. Your statement of support could help increase international pressure to demand the Vietnamese authority to immediately release him and other prisoners of conscience.
Our hope is that you would continue to use your voice in supporting the efforts to demand justice for Mr Tuan. Not only does your support bring hope to Mr Tuan’s family but it is also an immense motivation to whoever struggling for a Vietnam of freedom and democracy.
